Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS)

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has released an interim final rule that imposes comprehensive federal security regulations for high risk chemical facilities.

This rule establishes risk-based performance standards for the security of our nation's chemical facilities. It also contains associated provisions addressing inspections and audits, recordkeeping, and the protection of information that consitutes Chemical-terrorism Vulnerability Information (CVI). MORE>

Workplace Emergency Action Plan

Workplace emergencies are situations that pose an immediate threat to employees, their place of employment, their clients, the community and the environment. Whether natural or man-made, they are typically impossible to predict and can range from tornadoes and fires to civil disturbances and workplace violence.

These unexpected events can disrupt operations and and in some instances, put them out of business permanently.
