Industrial Security Co-Sponsor of Let’s Talk Bourbon

Since 1776, the people of Bardstown Kentucky have been making bourbon and every year, they celebrate their rich history and passion for their drink of choice by hosting The Kentucky Bourbon Festival (http://www.kybourbonfestival.com). Attracting bourbon lovers from all over, this annual celebration gives families a chance to enjoy five days of smooth bourbon, live entertainment, and delicious food. No matter the age or interest, the festival’s family atmosphere provides something for everyone.

Already in its 16th year, this festival continues to grow. In fact, this year’s event attracted a record crowd of 55,000 and for the first time, every major event was sold out. With attendees arriving from 40 states and 14 countries, the Kentucky Bourbon Festival has become more than just a local get together. It has developed into a beautiful tradition and Industrial Security Service was more than proud to co-sponsor a talk given by Jim Rutledge, the Master Distiller of Four Roses, a Seagram’s product, on the history of bourbon.

Jim Hughes, Regional VP, and Greg Noe, Operations Manager for ISS Bardstown, attended Jim Rutledge’s talk. “It was extremely interesting to hear about the history of bourbon, America’s spirit. All of the bourbon distillers have a common bond that makes this festival so unique. And the samples were a nice bonus!”
